Makati: Ribs!

Reposo St. in Makati is not known for food, but we've heard of "ribs" there. So we ventured and found Rub Ribs. So without hesitation, we ordered their ribs, Raki's BBQ Ribs. We had two "singles" (Php220) since we wanted rice and another siding. My ribs' bones were smaller compared to what she ordered, so she was a bit unsatisfied. The side dish was good though. She had "Garlic Spinach w/ Mushroom", and I had "Bacon and Potato Salad" (although it was more potato hehe)

Overall, the ribs were just okay :| No competition compared to the baby ribs :) Next time we'll try their other dishes.

Quezon City: Pancit Palabok

When she was still young, my sister's favorite food in Jollibee is its "pansit palabok". Now that we are older, palabok is still one of our favorite Filipino food. Pansit is a common term for a noodle dish in Filipino. The difference among these noodle dishes is the type of noodle used and its sauce and toppings. In general, a pansit palabok's sauce is made from shrimp and atsuete, and its noodles are thin. Its toppings vary from pork, shrimp, fish, fried tofu and spices like onion and garlic. And don't forget the sliced hard-boiled egg at the top :)

My girlfriend discovered this place that serves palabok as one of their specialties, Little Quiapo. It is located at Malakas St. (Parallel to East Ave.) in Quezon City. Of course we ordered their palabok partnered with a tokwa't baboy (Tofu and pork in a sweet soy sauce with spices):
